Thermalform HPAD1 can be used to work out the details the 8″ inches x 8″ inches is the perfect size for finishing detail work, all the smaller wrinkles. You can use it like a squeegee and work out the wrinkles as you shrink them quickly and effectively.
Thermalform HPAD2 is twice as long 8″ inches x 20″ inches and cover more surface area horizontally. Shrinking film is much easier and faster with HPAD2 as it tackles the fingers twice as fast as much as the surface area can handle. There is a technique in the process please contact a representative to discuss your specific application.
If you are wetting the top surface of a window film, you can use Thermalform HPAD. As long as its mildly wet and not saturated and water gets all over the pad after use.
Thermalform™ HPAD maximum temperature 3.2 version gets up to 450°F using a direct plugin connection. We did encounter extension cords with 16 gauge and exceeding 25ft will depreciate the temperature and performance in heat control. To maintain peak performance, use a minimum of 25 feet in length. We recommend 12 gauge extension chords only not to exceed 25ft in length. Considering PET’s melting point is at 500°F the current industries hypothesis of having 1200°F heat to shrink film is not true.
