3M at SEMA show – Shrinking 3M Crystalline Window film
I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis McMullin at Interwest – 3M Authorized Training/Distribution Center which evidently is my neighbor, his office is 4 blocks away from my office. He had supplied me with various 3M window films to test with my new invention Thermalform™ HPAD applicator. He was patient enough to trust me and wait until the moment was right. That brings me to the SEMA show.
I had no intention of doing a demonstration at the SEMA show, the anticipation was too great to ignore. My latest Thermalform™ HPAD1 3.0 version had an external thermostat gauge. I did bring my HPAD2 which was 2.0 version older generation just in case. When I called Dennis he wanted me to stop by at the 3M booth first so I did just that.
3M team at the SEMA show trying out the Thermalform™ HPAD1 V3.0. Notice the double cable on the HPAD1. The newer models will only have one cable internalizing the thermostat regulator. Additional modifications were made to sustain the maximum temperature, as it regulates throughout the pad. An additional element was added to the internal copolymers, along with new DuPont® Kevlar® lining was necessary to sustain high temp long-term use.
